DENTISTRY
Our animal patients get tremendous benefits from routine dental cleanings and treatments. When the gums become inflamed due to the presence of plaque, tartar, and bacteria, the infection can spread to other parts of the body causing serious health problems such as heart and kidney disease.
Dental cleanings must be performed under general anesthesia to provide a safe and quality cleaning. A dental cleaning includes, IV fluids, extensive anesthetic monitoring, both hand and ultrasonic scaling, polishing, and antiseptic rinse. We offer Oravet sealant and fluoride treatments to help protect the tooth surface from new tartar formation.
Home Dental Care
We have a number of preventative treatment items than can be used at home to help control dental disease. We have flavored toothpastes, toothbrushes and fingertip brushes, oral rinses, water additives, and dental chews.
Ask your veterinarian what’s best to keep your pets teeth healthy and strong.
