Dr Teresa Petterson is a native of Michigan; she attended Michigan State for a two year course in equine management, before moving to Kentucky. There she spent ten years at a show horse farm involved in many different aspects including grooming, training and equine breeding.
Dr Petterson then went to the University of Louisville for her undergraduate work, then to Auburn University, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. During this time, summers were spent backpacking in many different areas of the United States. The most memorable trips were in the Wind River Range of WY. One trip she organized and led a group of 7 people for 9 days in the remote Wind River Range.
After graduation, the move to western Colorado was an easy choice with its close proximity to the mountains. Professional interests include companion animals and horses with a desire to pursue her interest in Dermatology. Her personal interests focus on her two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, Backpacking, Mountain biking, Cross country skiing and a new found love for skijoring after competing in several races.
