Dr. Justin Green

Dr. Green was raised in a family of woodworkers and cattle ranchers living in Colorado and the panhandle of Oklahoma. He attended The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley Colorado where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Science and Chemistry before attending Colorado State University where he earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Green is happy to bring a variety of experiences to San Juan Veterinary Clinic. Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Green practiced in a rural mixed animal practice in the San Luis Valley where he cared for a variety of animals including horses, beef and dairy cows, reindeer, turkeys, pigs and many wonderful small animals. Dr. Green was also a passionate farrier for many years and still cherishes his past time spent under horses.

Dr. Green's professional interests are broad but he has a focused enthusiasm for small animal dentistry and ophthalmology. Dr. Green has received advanced training in small animal dentistry and strives to continually learn and use the latest techniques to care for the dental needs of his dog and cat patients. He also loves anything involving the health of his patient’s eyes and continually makes every effort to provide the most current care and knowledge possible.

Dr. Green spends his time away from veterinary medicine with his beautiful spouse Samantha, their 4 yr old daughter, and their incredible Wirehaired Pointing Griffon "Klaus". You will most likely find them rock climbing on any given evening, but they also greatly enjoy fly fishing, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, or any other excuse to be outdoors. The Green family absolutely loves the Western Slope and always enjoys experiencing this amazing region that they feel so lucky to live in.
